My son was born on a hot day in October and I had been in mild, aggravating "is-it-time?" labor for three days. I was tired of going to the hospital only to be told that I wasn't ready. The night before I delivered him I decided that I would keep moving until this baby decided he was coming out of me.
I am still not past my due date (Nov. 14) and I was really huge and feel so uncomfortably hot most of the time. We are still living with my parents and lucky enough my brother is already home for November days break. He decided along with my mom…well,, at least they have no choice but to be with my two kids as I was busy with my husband going to and from the hospital and a stroll on the mall.
It was Friday and I am past my weekly checkup with my OB so we decided to finish all errands and head on to the hospital. I was feeling some very light contractions that day. Tolerable but yes I feel the pain coming from waist to back and down there. As my OB do the necessary IE… Dang! I feel the contractions even more! She asked me to go to do the pelvic ultrasound and the stress tests, it confirms. I am already contracting! But but but but not enough opening for a delivery, no blood and no water breaking at all. So I was advised to wait some more.
Saturday came and I prepared all salaries early morning as I expect early delivery from all night contractions. Finishing all the quotations I needed to send, delivery receipts and all other stuff.  My husband and I decided to go stroll the nearest mall in the hospital. All day long my husband was patiently walking with me, strangers would stop and stare at me as I would work on managing my pain. At one point my husband and I had stopped in Burger King for cola and fries.
By around dinner the contractions were severe enough and coming frequently enough that I felt confident that it was time.  As contraction came up on me I gripped the back of a chair and closed my eyes, breathing through the pain. When I opened my eyes I found myself staring into the eyes of a woman sitting only a few feet away whom I was thinking begging "Please don't deliver that baby here." Rushing to the hospital pre-labor area and having another set of tests on me, ending up still to be sent home. Yes, contraction is constant (every 5 minutes with a minute to two kicks) and still ending up going home.
It's Sunday and no sleep at all. Envy came to me as I watch my kids sleep soundly with their father. How I wish I could lay down and sleep soundly that night and ignore all the pain.  As I reach on my phone and search for something to aid me. Probably a hot compress would be helpful to handle the pain. Tried to walk and reach for some mason jar and fill with hot water. But still the contraction is conquering me. I then decided to wake my husband dear and asked for the jar and massage my belly to my back. Grateful as I am it does help reduce the pain.

Anyhow, happy to announce his birth last October 27!!
We call him..
